Here at Super Easy Sites, we've done everything we can to make our system super easy! And we'd like to to think that the whole thing is so simple you won't have any questions at all once you've tried it. But we also know that our perspective might be a little biased, so we've prepared this FAQ to answer some of the questions that might occur to you as you visit our site.

And, even if you have already visited Super Easy Sites and become a member, you might want to refer back to this page frequently as we update it with answers to questions we haven't even thought of yet.

While we'd like to think that we've covered everything right from the start, humility forces us to admit that 's probably not true. We'll answer promptly, and you may even see your questions here on the FAQ the next time you visit!

• What is a SuperEasySite?

A SuperEasySite is a website you can manage. You don't need special software. You don't need a special Internet connection. You don't need any special knowledge of computer coding. All you need is the desire to have your own website and change it anytime you want. Copy and paste text, add pictures, create links, all with the click of a button. There's no HTML here; no FTP; no weird acronyms that mean nothing to you. All that's here is a system that works with very little fuss. It's really that easy. We honestly believe that once you have a SuperEasySite, the Internet will never be the same.

• How does it work?

  It's all very simple, actually. We've created a special tool we call the Control Panel. With it, you can make changes directly to your website as you view it. Simply click the button on the Control Panel that corresponds to the change you'd like to make, and then make it. Change the Title of your Site, Choose a different Design Template, Change the Layout of your content, Add or Delete Buttons, or Insert an Accent Image. Then open the Content Editor to manipulate text, insert graphics, create links, and more. If you know how to point and click, you'll know how to use your new SuperEasySite.

• Is it really super easy?

  It is so easy, that we’ve let five-year-old Tommy use the site. Tommy is the son of our lead developer, John. And guess what? Tommy can do it. And so can you. Now, granted, there will be times when you get stumped. And there’s an offhand chance the Help Menu included in your SuperEasySite won’t answer your specific question. But just like Tommy, if you aren’t sure what to do, you can just ask Dad . . . or anyone else that’s manning the Help Desk; 24 hour email support is included with every SuperEasySite account.

• What if I don't know anything about programming?

  You don’t need to know anything about computer programming to use your SuperEasySite. We’ve constructed the Control Panel and Content Editor windows to function just like the programs you’re used to using all the time: internet browsers, email readers, and word processors. If you can use any of those, you can use a SuperEasySite.

• Do I need special software?

  No. There’s absolutely nothing to install! The SuperEasySite Control Panel - the tool you use to make changes to your website - is actually embedded in the SuperEasySite website. This means you don’t have to install anything on your computer. It also means that you can make changes to your web page not just on your computer, but from any computer, anywhere, at any time, as long as it has access to the internet. It doesn’t matter if you’re at home, at work, or on the road. Simply log on to the SuperEasySites Main Portal, enter in your User Name and Password, and you have instant access to edit your site!

• Can I use my SuperEasySite from any computer?

  Yes. Because there is no special software required, you can log on from any computer, at any time to begin editing your site. Just log on to the SuperEasySites Main Portal, enter your personalized User Name and Password, and you’re set. As soon as you’re done making changes to your site, those changes publish automatically to the Internet. It doesn’t matter if you’re on vacation, on a business trip, or out of the office; as long as you have a computer with access to the Internet, you can use your SuperEasySite to do what you want.

• Do I need DSL or a special connection to the Internet?

  No, there’s no need to sign up for high-speed service just yet; at least not on account of us! The SuperEasySite editing capability is not dependent on the speed of your Internet connection. It is true, however, that because all of the Control Panel and Content Editor software is actually part of the SuperEasySite web page, some functions – like uploading pictures and .pdf documents - will occur faster when you use a computer with a faster connection to the internet. In the end, though, every SuperEasySite function operates the same regardless of whether your system is dial-up or T1.

• Can I have a personalized URL?

  Yes. Your URL is the address at which your website is located (ie: www.yoursite.com). When registering for your SuperEasySite service, you can opt for a personalized URL by completing the appropriate section of the sign-up form. Once we have registered your new URL, you will also be given up to 10 email accounts with the correct extension (ie: you@yoursite.com). Each personalized URL is based upon availability (additional cost may apply – see the SuperEasySites Main Portal for the latest pricing information). If you do not wish to have a personalized URL, you will be given a SuperEasySites extension address (www.SuperEasySites.com/users/yoursitecom) at no charge.

• Can anybody view my website?

  Yes. Anyone in the world can view your website by simply entering your URL (www.mysite.com) into their web browser. And your SuperEasySite currently supports a wide variety of browser compatibility. We guarantee your site will be viewable on AOL, MSN, MS Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher, Netscape 4.7 and higher, FIrefox, and Opera internet browsers, comprising 99% of the web browsing community.

  *** If anyone can see my website, why do I need a User Name and Password?
  The only thing anyone needs in order to view your site is your URL, or website address. Your User Name and Password are needed when you want to access the special editing features on your SuperEasySite. When you want to create, delete or manage individual portions of your website, simply visit www.SuperEasySites.com, enter your User Name and Password into the appropriate fields, and click Go. Your browser will be re-directed toward the edit-enabled version of your site, from where you can make your changes. When you are done, simply click Save Changes and Exit, and your changes will publish to your website automatically.

• Do I get any email accounts?

Yes. Each SuperEasySite gets up to 10 personalized email accounts.

• Can I link to other websites?

  Yes. Our Content Editor allows you to easily link text and images to other websites. Simply highlight the text you wish to link, or select the image you want linked, and enter the website URL you want to link your selection to. Voila! Every time a visitor to your website clicks on the linked text or image, they will be forwarded to the new website. It’s that simple. See the Help Menu inside your SuperEasySite for more ways to use the link function.

• What kind of files can I put on my site?

  Currently, your SuperEasySite website is capable of displaying the following file-types as images: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .pjpg, and .png . Your SuperEasySite website is also capable of displaying Adobe Acrobat .pdf documents, uploaded as linked files. You can upload any other file-type you wish as a linked file, but your users will only be able to download these files; these files will not be viewable online. Future versions of the SuperEasySites Content Editor will allow for additional file-type compatibility. You will be notified of these enhancements when new versions of the SuperEasySites Content Editor are released.

• Can I use Flash?

  No. Currently your SuperEasySite is not capable of displaying Flash animations. We anticipate this functionality being included in a future version of the SuperEasySites Content Editor.

• Can I set up an e-commerce store?

  No. There are currently no e-commerce modules available for your SuperEasySite. Future versions of the SuperEasySites Content Editor will include e-commerce packages for your website at an additional monthly fee.

• Are there limitations as to what I can put on my site?

  Yes, there are some limitations as to what you can put on your SuperEasySite. Your SuperEasySite may not contain any content, including text, software, images, data or other files that: are unlawful, abusive, libelous, obscene, fraudulent, or pornographic; victimize, degrade, or intimidate an individual on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, disability or any other reason; or contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another's computer. For a more in-depth outline of what is prohibited, please view of Terms and Conditions of Usage Policy. If you are found to be in violation of any of the rules outlined in this policy, your SuperEasySite may be suspended indefinitely. If you are concerned about what kinds of file-types will work on your SuperEasySite, please reference the question, “What kind of files can I put on my site?” listed above.

• Will my website be secure?

  Yes. The only way anyone can make changes to your website content is by entering your User Name and Password into the Login fields on the SuperEasySite Main Portal at www.supereasysites.com . As long as you keep your User Name and Password secure, your website will be secure. Just remember that any information you post on your site will be viewable by anyone with Internet access. Therefore, we recommend not posting any private information that you wouldn’t normally share with people you don’t know.

• How much does it cost?

  We think the cost of a SuperEasySite is downright affordable. Consider what you get: your own personalized website - with up to 56 pages of content; 24 hour round-the-clock access to your Control Panel - to make changes how you want and when you want; up to 10 email accounts; server hosting; and tech support through the SuperEasySites Help Desk. And for just $9.95 a month (plus a one-time set-up fee of $20.00), it’s a steal!

• If I get stuck, will someone be able to help me?

  Yes. Your SuperEasySite has a comprehensive Help Menu to assist you when you get stuck. Simply press the Help button from within any edit window to receive detailed information on the editing functions you are using. If you find the Help Menu doesn’t answer your specific question, you can contact our Help Desk for more information. Our Help Desk representatives will be able to answer your individual question, and get you back on the road to building and managing your SuperEasySite.
